2. Use of Services

Our Services provide privacy-first, non-intrusive age verification solutions for digital platforms.
They are intended exclusively for:

  • Website owners, operators, or digital service providers subject to legal obligations regarding age assurance (including but not limited to GDPR, the UK Online Safety Act, and the Audiovisual Media Services Directive).

By using the Services, you agree:

  • To use them solely for lawful and compliant purposes;
  • Not to misuse or repurpose the Services to collect, store, or exploit personal data;
  • Not to use the Services in any way that facilitates access to age-restricted content by unauthorized users;
  • Not to engage in or support any activity that exploits or harms minors;
  • Not to attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the verification mechanisms provided. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Services in case of actual or suspected abuse or violation of applicable laws or these Terms.

3. Access and Integration

Access to the Services may be granted via:

  • REST API
  • JavaScript SDK
  • Iframe embed
  • Redirect-based flow

Use of our sandbox or live production environment requires prior approval. We reserve the right to suspend or deny access in cases of suspected misuse, non-compliance, or risk to privacy.

4. Data Handling

We do not collect, process, or store any personally identifiable information (PII).
We may process anonymous metadata, such as:

  • Timestamp
  • Browser/device type
  • Verification outcome

Clients are solely responsible for:

  • Notifying users of age verification usage;
  • Providing appropriate Privacy and Cookie Policy documentation on their platform.

5. Intellectual Property

All components of the Service — including but not limited to proprietary software, design elements, source code, text, graphics, trademarks, and branding — are the intellectual property of Northland Data Ltd or its licensors, and are protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Unless otherwise specified, all rights are reserved. You may not::

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sublicense, or exploit any proprietary part of the Service;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any non-open-source component;
  • Use our trademarks, trade names, or design elements without prior written permission.

Open Source Notice:
The Service includes components from the open-source project goCamOpenSource, developed by GSI Développement SAS and made available under the MIT License. These components are used in accordance with their respective open-source license terms.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

The Services are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • Performance or uninterrupted availability of the Service.

You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. We disclaim liability for any loss, damage, or regulatory action arising from reliance on our Service.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, in cases including but not limited to:

  • Abuse or misuse of the Services;
  • Non-compliance with these Terms;
  • Threats to platform integrity or user privacy.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales or Seychelles, depending on the nature of the business relationship and the applicable jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms periodically. The latest version will always be available at Terms. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
